Dancer Contract
Attendance: You must attend every rehearsal. This is a part of your commitment in order to be a part of this production. Missing a rehearsal not only affects you but also the dancers around you. If you must miss a rehearsal, please submit a note to Mr. Nini in person at least a week in advance for his approval. If you must miss a rehearsal due to illness, please call the studio before rehearsal.
Tech Week: Tech week is December 8 - 10.  It is important for the success of the show that all dancers attend so make sure to keep this week open. If you have school activities that week, be sure to tell your teacher now about your commitment to The Nutcracker. Mr. Nini can call your teacher if that becomes necessary to excuse you from your school activity.
Costumes, Sets, and Props: Much time and effort has been expended to provide you with a beautiful costume(s) for the performance. It is your job to take proper care of the costume and to return it in good condition following the performance. Please read the following list of do's and don'ts which will help ensure that your costume, the sets and props stay in good condition.

  • No eating, drinking (except water) or sitting in costume.

  • Costumes should be put on just before entering stage. Bring something else to the theater to wear before and after your time on stage.

  • Be careful when putting on the costume after makeup has been applied.

  • Hang up your costume (on the assigned hanger) as soon as you remove it from your body.

  • Keep all headpieces and extras with the costume at all times. Bags are provided for these.

  • Report any problems or needed repairs to a costume volunteer immediately.

  • Your costume must be checked in, in good shape, after the final performance. If the costume is damaged beyond repair, you will be responsible for its replacement.

  • The sets and props are fragile and must be treated with care.  DO NOT touch the props unless they are handed to you by a backstage volunteer.

  • A $25.00 fine will be charged for any infraction of these rules. We suggest that this money come from the dancer's allowance.

  • Breach of any of the above guidelines could result in a monetary withdrawal to those dancers that receive a financial stipend.

  • Costumes will not be fitted until this signed contract is received and all costume fees have been paid.

I agree to attend all rehearsals. I have read the above costume rules and agree to abide by them.
